Short Biography
Dr. Weidong Ruan received his PhD in Physical Chemistry in 2007 at Jilin University supervised by Prof. Bing Zhao. After that, he joined the state key laboratory of supramolecular structure and materials for Raman spectroscopy, self-assembly of nanoparticles and super-sensitive detection research. From April 2011 to March 2012 he was a visiting scholar in the University of California, Berkeley. In 2013 he was awarded the Academic Achievement on Natural Science in Jilin Province as the first contributor.
Research Interest
The main focus of his research is the physical chemistry on surface-enhances Raman scattering, the vibrational spectroscopy of surface molecules and the mechanism of assembled nanostructures achieving high enhanced factors.
