Short Biography
Dr. Jingkai Gu obtained a Ph.D. Diploma in phammaceutical analysis from Shenyang Phammaceutical University in 1997. Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemistry of Jilin University from 1997-1999. In 2002, he was appointed as a professor of Jilin University and a doctoral supervisor in 2003. Dr. Gu is a member of Advisory Committee of Drug Evaluation Center of The National Medical Products Administration; He is Vice-Chairman of Drug Metabolism Professional Committee of Chinese Pharmacological Society; He is also Vice-Chairman of Clinical Quality and Evaluation Professional Committee of China Pharmaceutical Industry Association. Dr. Gu is Editor of Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B,Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis and Drug Metabolism and Disposition. In recent years, his academic achievement includes 2 key projects of Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 3 sub-projects of National Major Scientific and Technological Special Project for Significant New Drugs Development, 146 SCI articles, 12 national patents and 1 PCT international patent.
Research Interest
The principal effort of our research program is on biological fate of supramolecular drug delivery system (SDDS). Specifically, we have two major focuses: (1) Bio-mass spectrometry analysis of small molecules, biomacromolecules, polymers and SDDS, and in vivo spatiotemporal fate of SDDS; (2) Design and development of prodrug based on drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics.
Honors & Awards
In 2011, Dr. Gu won the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award of Jilin University.
