Research Interest

Organic Opto-Electronic Functional Material and Device
Professor Liu's current researches are focused on subjects involving the design and testing of heavy transition-metal Ir(III) based complexes, to afford a variety of highly emissive phosphors with balanced charge transport property for blue, green, yellow and red organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). In addition, novel approach to construct highly efficient white OLEDs with standard Commission Internationale de L’Eclairage (CIE) coordinates and/or high color-rendering index (CRI), which offer new opportunities in practical flat-panel displays and solid-state lighting sources, is also important issue in this group.
