Short Biography

Hongchen Sun was born in 1963 in harbin, China. He received his Ph.D. degree in 1998 from Norman Bethune University of Medical Sciences. Then, he started a postdoc academic career at State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University. He has worked as a visiting scholar and senior research fellow at the Tokyo Medical & Dental University and the University of Michigan. Since January 2016, he is a professor at State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University. He was selected as Changbai Mountain Scholar Professor in 2015.

Research Interest

Based on the characteristics of pathological microenvironment, new type nano-materials were designed and synthesized to respond the microenvironment. The interaction between the nanomaterials and subcellular structures was studied to clarify their transport process in the body, which will be further used for carrying out human disease diagnosis and treatment research. Specific research work: (1) construction of nanocomposite material that responds to the pathological microenvironment; (2) effect of transport of nano-particles on the biological function of the organism; (3) biological effects of nanoparticles transmembrane transport; (4) research and development of micro-scale diagnosis, treatment technology and biological materials.
