Short Biography
Professor Wenjing Tian was born in 1965, in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China. She obtained a bachelor degree from Jilin University in 1988, and obtained a PhD degree from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993. She did postdoctoral research work at Jilin University during 1994-1996. After that she started to work at Key Laboratory for Supramolecular Structure and Materials of Ministry of Education (Now State Key Lab for Supramolecular Structure and Materials) till now in Jilin University. She was promoted to associate professor in 1996, and professor in 2001, and then was appointed as supervisor of PhD students in 2003. She had worked at Philipps University of Marburg, Germany as a senior visiting scholar from September 2001 to September 2002, and at University of Washington, USA as a senior visiting scholar from August to November in 2007.
Research Interest
Prof. Tian's research group is interested in the design and synthesis of organic (small molecule and polymer) optoelectronic functional materials, as well as the relationship between the structures and properties of organic optoelectronic functional materials. We especially pay attention to the design and synthesis, the relationship between structures and properties, the device, the applications and related physical process of organic/polymer optoelectronic functional materials. The specific research fields include: design and synthesis of organic solar cell materials, design and synthesis of organic light-emitting material with high solid-state fluorescence quantum efficiency, relationship between structures and properties of the active layer and interfacial layers in organic solar cells, supramolecular assembly and applications of organic fluorescent materials, charge carriers transport and recombination of organic optoelectronic functional materials.
Honors & Awards
In 2010, Prof. Tian won the honorary of “the 11th batch of outstandingly contributive Young and Middle-aged professional and technical Talents of Jilin province” In 2007, Prof. Tian was elected as one of the 2nd batch of Top Innovative Talents of Jilin province In 2006, Prof. Tian obtained the Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University In 2002, the program she attended as a main participant “Basic study of new organic electroluminescent materials” won the first prize of the natural science award of Ministry of Education
