Short Biography
Dr Sheng Lan obtained her Ph.D. in chemistry from Jilin University in 2015. And then she was appointed as an associate professor to work in Jilin University, in the Department of Chemistry. She served as supervisor of PhD students since 2019, and was promoted to professor in 2023.
Research Interest
Her current research interests are on smart dyes, stimulus-response color-changing materials and their applications. Her group is dedicated to the the design and synthesis, structure and properties of new mild stimulus (such as water, visible light, heat) responsive intelligent color changing dyes and materials, as well as their application exploration in repeatable writing materials, functional inks, inkless printing, environmental and health monitoring, etc. Special attention is paid to the design and synthesis of hydrochromic molecular switches, the study of structureµenvironment and performance, devices and applications, and related mechanisms. She innovative proposal of “hydrochromic molecular switches" and water-jet printing" technology, which has attracted widespread attentions.
