Short Biography
Dr. Zeyuan Dong graduated in chemistry from the Jilin University in China. He received his PhD degree in 2006 from the same university. Then, he came to Katholieke Universiteit Leuven for a postdoc research from 2007 to 2008 in Belgium. In 2009, as a Marie-Curie postdoctoral fellow, he worked in Ivan Huc research group at IECB in Bordeaux, France. In 2011, he joined the faculty of state key laboratory of supramolecular structure and materials in Jilin University as an associate professor.
Research Interest

The principal effort of our research program is on the design of new foldamers that are applicable for the development of bio-inspired supramolecular chemistry. Specifically, the general nature in physics and chemistry from the bio-inspired supramolecular system, such as aggregation morphology, supramolecular chirality, and supramolecular catalysis, would be explored. The research in detail includes following.

  1. Development of new methods of supramolecular polymerization

  2. Supramolecular engineering of foldamers

  3. Artificial enzymes based on helical architectures

Honors & Awards

2009 Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship by European Commission FP7

2008 Excellent PhD Thesis of Jilin Province, China
