Short Biography
Dr. Wei Song obtained a doctor of science Diploma in physical chemistry from Jilin University in 2008. Her doctoral work was on the fabrication of difference kinds of novel micro-nanostructures and studied their surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) properties and wettabilities. In 2009, she was employed in the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials of Jilin University as a lecturer, and then was promoted to associate professor in 2011.
Research Interest
The principal effort of our research program is on Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy imaging and detection. Specifically, my research interest includes the fabrication of micro-nano structures, spectroscopic techniques, superhydrophobic techniques and self-assembled methods. I have prepared a series of metal and semiconductor/metal composite nanomaterials and studied their special surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) properties. I use the SERS imaging technique to extract chemical information within latent fingerprint and trace amounts of protein deposited within fingerprints.
