Short Biography
Wei Song graduated in 2008 with a Ph.D. in Science from the Institute of Theoretical Chemistry, Jilin University. In 2009, she became a lecturer at the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University. From 2009 to 2012, she conducted postdoctoral research at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2011, she was promoted to associate professor at the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University. From 2014 to 2015, she worked as a special-term associate professor in the Department of Chemistry, Kansai Gakuin University, Japan. She was a visiting scholar in the Department of Chemistry, Berlin Institute of Technology, Germany, from 2015 to 2016. Since 2017, she has been a professor at the State Key Laboratory of Supramolecular Structure and Materials, Jilin University. Since 2018, she has been a member of the 9th Light Scattering Professional Committee of the Chinese Physical Society, a member of the 7th Editorial Board of Journal of Light Scattering, and a committee member of the Electrochemical Energy Division and Spectroscopy Division of the Jilin Provincial Society for Analytical Testing Technology. In 2023, she was appointed as a "Tang Aoqing Scholar" Distinguished Professor at Jilin University. Her main research focuses on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) technology, aiming to explore its applications in surface/interface catalytic reaction mechanisms and ultra-sensitive detection. She has published over 100 SCI papers in journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Light Sci. Appl., Anal. Chem., and Biosens. Bioelectron., with more than 3,600 citations. She holds 10 authorized patents and has led several national research projects, including major research and development plans and general projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Research on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy of multifunctional composite micro-nano materials and their in-situ characterization and detection techniques in electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, and nanozyme catalysis

2016 Awarded the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award by the China General Chamber of Commerce (4).
2016 Awarded the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (4).
2018 Selected into the Outstanding Young Faculty Training Program (Elite Cultivation Stage) of Jilin University.
2023 Named a "Tang Aoqing Scholar" Yingcai Professor at Jilin University.
