Short Biography
Xu Shuping graduated from College of Chemistry, Jilin University in 2001, achieving a bachelor's degree. In June 2006, she obtained her Ph.D. in Science, Jilin University, specializing in physical chemistry. In the same year, she worked at Institute of Theoretical Chemistry, Jilin University, appointed as a lecturer. In June-Dec. 2004, she visited Ozaki (Ozaki Yukihiro) research group of Kwansei-Gakuin University, Japan, as a visiting student, mainly engaged in the research of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy. Within Feb. 2007 - July 2008, she joined in Juila Xiaojun Zhao research team, Department of Chemistry of North Dakota University for postdoctoral research, mainly engaged in the preparation of silica / metal nanomaterials for fluorescence enhancement. Since Sep. 2008, she was employed as an associate professor of Jilin University. She hosted 3 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), 2 fund of Ministry of Education of China. As the main participants, Dr. Xu was involved in NSFC major research program and a special fund for scientific instrument development of NSFC. Dr. Xu has published more than 90 papers and 3 patents have been authorized.  she was employed as a professor of Jilin University Since Sep. 2013.
Research Interest
The main interest is on surface-enhanced spectroscopy, specifically, involving three focuses: (1) Supramolecular assembling of metal nanoparticles for surface enhanced spectroscopy, photocatalysis, antibacteria, biosensing and multifunction of fibres. (2) Development of periodical plasmonic nanostructures and devices for directional emission of SERS and fluorescence. (3) Design and fabrication of luminescent nanoparticles for bioimaging, nanolabels, and chemical sensing.
Honors & Awards
2008 The first prize of Jilin Province Science and Technology Progress Award (the fifth author).
2012 Two second prizes of Natural Science academic achievements of Jilin Province (the first and fourth author).
2013 The third prize of Natural Science academic achievements of Jilin Province (the first author).
