报告摘要:
Many reactions lead to coupling of haloarenes to arenes, using potassium tert-butoxide as base, and one of a variety of organic compounds, as additive. The organic additives react with the base to form strong organic electron donors in situ that initiate the BHAS (base-induced homolytic aromatic substitution) coupling reaction by converting the haloarene to an aryl radical. This lecture presents our perspectve on the wide range of organic additives that can be used, and the organic electron donors that are formed.
